June 17 - 18, 2014 - Illinois (farmers land)
When I hear the city name Chicago, some kind of industrial manufacturing old steam funk style stories are appearing in my mind; I don't know why, may be old movies?.
So, the state Illinois is always big factory country for me. However, I have been wrong for a long time.
Whole Illinois is the plain farming land, no mountains in the sight at all. Hundereds square miles of lands are just a big farming land.
At the local country roads, there are always train rail roads with grain loading stations in the small towns few miles apart.
Over 4 hours road trips, and I could only see is the farming lands; nothing but farmers and sound of trains passing by. At the Walmart parking lot in the night, the sound of the train passing by helped me get good sleep; dreaming the old memory and movies...
The road sign "Farmers Feed America"; actually it's from the other state road sign, is remembered again.
And the famous the Lake Michigan, big big big lake; I could not see the other side of the end.
